2023 W-2 forms have been mailed out to employee’s home addresses. All employees (current and terminated) can access their 2023 W-2 forms through the employee portal effective immediately.

HR Business Partner

The HR Business Partner serves as the primary interface between Pinnacle Employee Services and Work Site Employees (WSEs) of its client companies, as well as all client company representatives such as HR managers and/or owners. They maintain the day to day client/employee relationship through handling inbound telephone calls and emails. The HR Business Partner ensures the effective delivery of PES services in the areas of benefits, payroll, and human resources; resolving service issues, identifying service opportunities, and informing management of key developments that may require escalation to more specialized PES resources.

 

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Performs independently to resolve general WSE issues related to payroll, benefits, and human resources.
  • Works with a sense of urgency to provide accurate information in a friendly, professional, and empathetic manner translating to a positive customer experience.
  • Completes unemployment claims in a timely and effective manner with the client companies’ best interests at heart.
  • Attends unemployment hearings on behalf of the client company.
  • Develop, maintains, and creates handbooks as well as handbook policies for client companies.
  • Completes the sexual harassment prevention training for all WSEs.
  • Completes sexual harassment and workplace harassment investigations working alongside client companies and WSEs.
  • Completes any trainings that client companies request WSEs complete within reason.
  • Assist client companies with workers compensation paperwork for WSEs who are out due to a worker’s comp injury.
  • Strives to deliver first contact resolution to WSEs.
  • Ensures proper triage, escalation, and effective resolution of issues and challenging WSE interactions through escalation to Subject Matter Experts.
  • Builds and maintains effective business relationships with all departments.
  • Interprets Payroll and HR Policies.
  • Knowledgeable on minimum wage requirements of salary and hourly employees within different job classifications.
  • Knowledgeable on 1099 vs. W2 employees and requirements for exempt vs. non-exempt employees.
  • Knowledgeable on all the benefit options that we offer to WSEs and can answer questions regarding these benefits on the spot.
  • Responsible for meeting and or exceeding established Key Performance Indicator metrics as defined by management.
  • Implementing new policies and procedures effectively and efficiently with both client companies and WSEs.
  • Comfortable creating and editing excel spreadsheets that client companies request.
  • Reprint and print paystubs, W2s, etc. for WSEs and terminated WSEs.
  • Be knowledgeable on out of state client company state regulations.
  • Update and put-up state/federal legal posters at all client company locations.
  • In-person client visits-minimum of ten clients per week.
  • Deliver whatever supplies to client companies that are requested; applications, pay rate forms, tax forms, etc.
  • Attending conferences to advance one’s knowledge in human resources constantly.
  • Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the management’s discretion.

 

Job Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Education: High School; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP, PHR or other HR certification courses is a plus.

 

Experience:

  • 1-2 years of experience in Human Resources and Customer Service.
  • Knowledge of Human Resource services and systems and automated operating environments preferred.
  • Experience working in a HR Outsourcing/PEO environment a plus.

 

Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Detail oriented and organized.
  • Skilled in customer service, communication, problem solving.
  • Strong inter-personal communications and business engagement/teamwork capabilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in using intranets, extranets, and internet for business applications desired.
  • Ability to effectively meet customer needs, taking responsibility for customer satisfaction
  • Ability to maintain effectiveness and professionalism when experiencing change in work tasks and/or the work environment.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team environment with strict deadlines.

 

Salary Range: $65 – $75k
